✅ We’re thrilled to share that the preliminary findings from the first testing phase of the CHEK Project are now publicly accessible. These insights, mark an important step toward improving digital maturity in building permit processes across Europe.
✅ This deliverable, prepared by the amazing team of Fraunhofer Italia – IEC, addresses a critical challenge faced by municipalities: the need to better understand and evaluate their digital maturity. Municipalities often rely on conventional workflows that hinder efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder engagement. The CHEKdbp project aims to change this by developing a scalable and efficient assessment methodology adaptable to diverse regulatory and cultural contexts.
✅ By leveraging tools like the CHEK Digital Building Permit Maturity Model (CDBPMM) and a forthcoming Virtual Assistant, this initiative enables municipalities to:
➡️ Identify gaps in their current processes.
➡️Benchmark their progress against industry standards.
➡️Advance toward fully digital, streamlined, and effective building permit workflows.
✅ The preliminary findings already offer valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities for municipalities in different regions. As digital transformation becomes a priority for local governments, these results will serve as a foundation for ongoing improvements.
